Scope and contact
MacCloudGuide handles form submissions on this site. Use Contact & Feedback for privacy matters, or use your receipt to look up or delete a record.
Cloudflare Pages and Functions host this site and process requests. Form records are stored in a separate Cloudflare D1 database. This notice will be updated if hosting or processing changes.
What information is collected?
Provider suggestions store the provider name, website, product URL, models, optional no-reason refund claim/window/policy URL, additional information and optional email. Corrections and contact requests store the topic, subject, message, relevant provider and page URL, and optional email.
Records also contain a reference, creation and handling times, status and a hash used to verify the receipt. Access keys are not stored in plaintext in the submission database. Do not submit passwords, private keys, payment details or unnecessary personal information.
How is this information used?
Information is used to review provider suggestions, correct collected information, handle feedback and privacy matters, detect duplicates, and show outcomes to receipt holders. Email is optional; this site sends no email and does not use it for marketing. Use your receipt to check the outcome.
Submissions are not published automatically. Verified public provider information may be used in the directory; contact emails and private feedback messages are not displayed as directory listings.
Storage, retention and deletion
Form records are stored in Cloudflare D1, separately from public pages and the collection database. They are not automatically published or sent to email, AI or other form services. Cloudflare processes network connection information while serving requests; its infrastructure processing and backups are subject to its policies.
Records expire 90 days after their latest handling time. The site removes expired records when processing form or receipt requests; expired receipts cannot be used. Use your reference and access key to delete submitted information and the handling result sooner; deletion invalidates the receipt.
Deleting a request does not automatically remove public provider information independently supported by official sources. Use a correction or contact request to raise concerns about a public listing.
Cookies, analytics and access records
Visitor measurement is disabled by default. There are no cookies, advertising trackers or third-party analytics. If first-party anonymous measurement is enabled, its retention period is shown and consent requested first. Declining leaves directory, comparison and feedback features available. Only after consent is a random tab-session identifier created and events recorded; IP, form content, full referrer URLs and free-text filter values are excluded.
Measurement preferences use browser session storage. Use “Anonymous measurement” to decline or withdraw at any time; withdrawal stops sending and requests deletion of that tab session’s stored events. A failed deletion request prompts a retry. Referrals, comparisons, source-link and provider clicks are separate events: a click is not a purchase, and a ChatGPT referral does not itself prove a citation or recommendation. Receipt keys are not stored automatically; keep them yourself.
To limit spam, the backend converts IP addresses to keyed digests and stores counts for a 60-second window. Expired counters are cleaned during subsequent requests. Submission records do not store IP addresses, and site application logs do not record form bodies, emails or access keys.
Third-party sites and data requests
Provider and source links open third-party websites, whose own notices describe their information handling. Form submissions are not attached to those outbound links.
To correct a submission, delete the old record and submit a new one. For other data-handling assistance, choose “Privacy & data handling” on the contact form.
